Hi Jay! Thanks for your warm welcome.

So far I am enjoying life here in Wellington, after 3 years in Austria I really missed the sea that is why I feel here like at home, the weather is also great.

I wish you all the best, Cheers!

Hi Jay, thanks for your concern, I'm ok, It was so scary, and all that has happened. But I am safe, and was already booked on air NZ to go to Auckland the next day, so I'm squatting at my sisters house. no imediate plans to go back, don't want to strain the infrastructure.

All the best

Helen

Hey Jay, thanks for your encouragement with the science communication! I'm really excited about the possibilities in NZ for building collaborative networks of scientists, artists, business people, designers and environmentalists that work together to develop really creative, fulfilling solutions...There's so much awesome science going on in NZ. I can't wait to start telling some of these stories!

Hi Jay, back in Nelson now. We missed top of the South too much. Sounds like you've had a few adventures. You at the Palmy library?

Thanks for your note, Jay! I am from Russia, but not new to this country- have been livi ng here before, since I am married to a Kiwi. Together we have been travelling and working in the world for 20 years. NZ is the last destination, at least for this moment.

Hey Jay,
I reckon Climate Camp will be a really amazing experience. I haven't been to one but I really like the principles and objectives of the Camp. You can join the announcements list and working group mailing lists on the website www.climatecamp.org.nz
There are a couple of newsletters of the website now that give some info of the camp and what's been happening around the country.
The site will only be announced a few days before the camp but I guess some indication of area will be given before then? Not sure about that though. The site will be relatively close to Wellington.
There will be a film screening later this month in Wellies at the Newtown community centre. That should be announced on the announcement mailing list.

Hope to see you there!
Tazia
