Very interesting. As the person interviewing our prime minister was saying 100% pure is 100 percent. Mike Joy should be listened too after all he is the one freshwater ecologist who isn't afraid to speak up. The slogan will come back and bite us on the bum. John Key is clearly leading a government that thinks about money more than anything else. The major tourism draw card in New Zealand is its natural environment. 

If New Zealand wants to become more pure maybe 71% PURE .....100% pure yeah right...then we shouldn't be slashing the Department of Conservations (DOC) budget by millions every election. I feel farmers need to be heavily subsidised to ensure the rivers and small streams are fenced and planted as well as maintained.
