I'm originally from the West Coast, but have managed to claim some new and almost equally beloved homes along the way, including Dunedin and Wellington.
I've recently completed an MA in Indigenous Studies down in Dunedin, which came out of a long-protracted stint of studies in anthropology, geography and development studies, and several years spent living in Peru and Mexico.
My research has focused on indigenous rights and participation in resource management, with a particular slant towards co-management and co-governance mechanisms here in Aotearoa. I now work in this field with the Crown and iwi here in Wellington.

Hey Nicole,
I did a quick search of Intersect members in Dunedin, and your name came up. The reason I'm looking for Intersect members in Dunedin is that I am organising a movie screeninig of the Age of Stupid, and I thought you might be interested. The screening is next Wednesday, at 7.pm, College Auditorium. The screening is gold coin donation.
It is being organised by the New Zealand Youth Delegation (in conjunction with SEA Otago). Basically, we are a group of passionate young people who are going to Copenhagen in December to represent your views on climate change. Following the screening of "The Age of Stupid" we will have an open discussion where you can tell us what message you want the Youth Delegation to convey in Copenhagen. What do you want us to tell the world?
I'm sure you know about the movie, but if you want more info, then check out www.ageofstupid.com.
Would be really good to see you on Wednesday!

Hi Nicole
I just did a search on Intersect to find people in Dunedin because
I wanted to invite you to a 350 Climate Action Group's FUN raiser, this coming Friday at the Regent Theatre.
My band - the Wellington International Ukulele Orchestra are doing a gig as part of our National Tour, and we want to pack out the Regent Theatre. $5 from each ticket purchased through the '350 Climate Action Group' (not the box office) go straight to funding their important climate action activities.
Hey Nic, Eden here... been out of the frame for a while. I have moved down in Dunedin to finish my Sustainable Design Enterprise masters ( four months to go). You know anyone who's in the loop who knows anything about closed -loop/natural capitaism/ biomimcry? It's very beautiful this way. Any way enough blah...hope your well.
Welcome Nicole! I hope you find some inspirations in your intersecting. The Intersect Network grows and flows through the interactions of all its members. You can get involved in any way that suits you - just let us know if we can do anything to assist.
