Positive visualisations

Hi everyone,

I am writing an article and also starting up a project about positive visualisations as an avenue for change, as opposed to only the gloom and doom images prevalent in the media.

The goal is to get people thinking about what kind of world they want, instead of only what they do not want…
It would be great if any of you felt like contributing!

Hi Louise. Certainly I will at some point. I am running around a little headless at present...Need to find that head and put it back on firmly, attached to some feet and my wayward heart, too.

Hi Louise
I'm in Copenhagen at the moment and spring is approaching. It is still bloody freezing but the sun is slowly taking over. It is beautiful!
I'm actually sketching on a contribution right now. It is not easy to visualize the environmentally regenerative, socially just, spiritually fulfilling and economically prosperous society on a single page, so it may take some time before I get it right;)
I love the EcoMag steady state totem!
Aloha

Hi Louise, Just came across your website - really connect with your belief in the power of acting from positive visions! Spreading the site through my networks, which I hope will add some more positive visions to ShiftShaping.

I'm also an Aus/NZ hybrid, usually based between Melbourne and Wellington, but studying my Masters in Sustainability in Sweden at the moment. I have fantasies about living in the forest of Northern NSW at some point in the next years, so will get in touch if I ever come south and north : )

Hi Louise

Welcome to Intersect.
I hope you find some inspiration here, and you might have some inspiration to share. The Intersect Network grows and flows through the interactions of all its members. You can get involved in any way that suits you - just let us know if we can do anything to assist. Let the intersecting begin!

BTW - great photo!

All the best from Megan and the rest of the Intersect Crew

Louise Kolff replied to Louise Kolff's discussion Greenwash in the group Creative Practitioners
"Yes, there seems to be a trend there! I guess it has to do with money too. Companies can pay for the so-called 'good' designers, while those with a genuine message often have no funds. So I guess it is up to designers to truly scrutinise…"

"Thanks Louise, the sins look like great background reading. And EXCELLENT to see your presentation. Design is essential to strong messaging and you are dead right that so much worthy info is badly designed. I wonder sometimes (quite genuinely) if…"

Greenwash

Sophie, about the greenwash, I don't have NZ examples, but I do have a document about the 6 sins of greenwash if you don't have it already. And I also did a conference presentation a little while back about climate change & graphic design, in which greenwash was featured. You can check out the presentation here: Designing a Visual Climate for Change (click 'full' for full screen viewing). Feel free to…See More

Positive futures

Hi compassionate intersectors,I am looking for people who are interested in contributing their vision of a positive future. My belief is that the more we focus on what we do want, instead of fear of a future we do not want, the better the odds for a positive outcome.
