Giulio Sturla replied to Lauren Christie's discussion Transitioning to a low-carbon energy future - what are the options and opportunities?
"Is good when people start to talk about this, but I think is time for more action than talking, we know about global warming and consequences, we know about peak oil, we know about green house gases... so why are we waiting for so long? I just went…"

About Me:
I was born in Chile, my parents couldn't survive the dictatorship regime during that time and they decided to move to Ecuador, I was living there for 20 years. Really hard lifestyle there but help me a lot to create consciousness about life and to understand a better future. I when back to Chile to study in a culinary school (If you want to be a chef, don't spend your money in a school, better make yourself in a real kitchen of a good restaurant) 2 years of school in Valparaiso and 2 years working in Santiago. I got enough of the SYSTEM, and jumped in a cruise ship and my journey start. Until December of 2008 I traveled around Europe and America, everywhere! getting to know the real food, local food, food made with love and of course the other side of the story as well (we don't need to talk about that). Now I am living in NZ around 2 1/2 years, Christy and I love so much this country that mother nature is sending us a baby to start our family here.
I Love food, love nature, love people.
Areas of interest and capabilities:
Cook, Kitchen, Sustainable living, peace, Garden, local food and products, ocean and travel.

Art of Nature

Earthquake in Christchurch = New opportunities for a good change

I am planning in my head a sustainable restaurant, located in a beautiful environment with great ocean  and mountains views , a massive garden where people can see what we grow and to appreciate how nature is working for us creating edibles with the only purpose of make us healthy and happy.

A sustainable building, with all the gadgets and equipment to make it work with nature. Everything inside the building made by people who wants to share the vision, and supports the restaurant with Art in all the ways... recycled and sustainable materials designed to last and easy to replace in the same way.

Technology, yes it's necessary, We (us) have a brain and we need to use what we create, good/useful/clean technology is good for us. In the kitchen we'll have the best equipment to create healthy food; slow cooked, raw food, pantry from scratch and working with raw ingredients.

The costumers, people who really care only, people who wants to change and learn how to do it.

Cooking/Good Life School, in the same place, we want to develop techniques, concepts, etc focusing in New Zealand to pass the information to others and create a happy and healthy community.
