You may have heard rumours about a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture scheme) in Wellington? Yes, we exist!

We are now accepting harvest share subscriptions at any time of year (not restricted to seasonal intakes as it used to be). We also have new pickup points in Berhampore and the Aro Valley as well as Mt Vic.

A great way to learn about the CSA and the produce we grow is to come to our farm day on Sunday, the 30th of September.

You can find more info about the CSA on our website or check out the facebook event for the farm day.

Cheers, Matt

Come along to the Intersect event tomorrow:

Education in NZ: stories of new and old

Intersect invites you an evening exploring education, past and present.

Renee will kick off discussing the people - Clarence Beeby, Gordon Tovey - who made New Zealand’s education system world-class between the 40s and 70s, through building a Ministry with an arts-focus. She’ll explore why and what happened, and what it might mean for us now.

Silvia presents Chalkle - decentralised education in action. Chalkle has the possibility to stimulate lifelong learning within all of us, nourish and support creativity by expanding our learning horizons.

We’ll let you ponder the question: “What could creative education look like in an age of distributed leadership?”

Southern Cross lounge, 6pm tomorrow Monday

Intersect Drinks Wellington: Civic engagement & activism and New Media

Time: May 7, 2012 from 6pm to 7:30pm
Location: Southern Cross Garden Bar Lounge
Street: 39 Abel Smith Street
City/Town: Wellington

There are three new(ish) exciting and innovative projects that have been developed here in Wellington that provide YOU with alternative ways to be engaged and active.

Come along for an evening where we can explore new ideas about civic engagement, activism and the new media.

Hannah Mackintosh and Celeste Donovan will introduce you to elevenhoursahead - a news blog open to writers, bloggers, cartoonists alike. Discuss, comment and share ideas around some of the larger issues affecting New Zealanders that are not often critically engaged with in the mainstream media.

Richard Bartlett & Alanna Krause will introduce Loomio, a free and open-source group decision making tool that they hope will dramatically alter your relationship with your boss, your community, and your government.

Megan Salole, Joseph Cederwall and Joe Beaglehole will unveil a brand new and very exciting entity which will help mobilise thousands of Kiwis to engage on important issues, and hold politicians accountable. Currently using the name 'StandUp', this organisation hopes to emulate overseas successes in new organising and online organising to bring participation back to New Zealand democracy.
