Maddock,

That's good that you're into Earthships.
I know about them already, and believe that they're good.
I have knowledge and skills that you and others may find useful, if you want to build Earthships or similar structures/systems here in NZ.

Back in March you posted about this and asked for people to email you, so I emailed you 2 or 3 times, and I haven't received a reply yet ...

I'm seeking to network with people interested in bringing Earthship-type housing designs to Canterbury. Send me an email and we'll organise an initial meet.

I did an internship on a build in British Columbia in May/June this year, and plan to do another in January. I also plan to complete the Earthship Academy in New Mexico next year.

Any and all allies on this journey will be welcomed!

Chch Intersectors.

Please take some time to visit a new independent public engagement website on issues for the rebuilding of Chch.  There are video presentations on big issues. Watch some of these and vote on whether you agree or not!

Share it with your friends and networks. Its early days and we need to get the numbers up

Hi Wonderful fellow Christchurch folk,

I just thought I'd bring to your attention that the Dalai Lama will be speaking at 12pm on Wednesday 8th June at the CBS Canterbury Arena for free.

Have a fab day!

Hi everyone.  Just a reminder to RSVP for the Chch Intersect meeting on 8 June at Browsers in Riccarton.  Slight change of time starting half an hour earlier at 5.30pm.

Hi Latesha, I don't know anyone in need of someone in the area, but if she wants someone to hang out with and talk permaculture stuff, I'd be happy to do that ;) I wwoofed around NZ last year, and am a permi fan, so I think we'd find a few things to yarn about! Actually, we have a 1/4 acre section in chch city, and we always need help here :)

Any organic farmers or tree planters who need a helping hand? A good friend of mine is moving to Chch until the end of July, and is keen to work until then in exchange for food and board. She's got heaps of permaculture and general gardening experience. Message me or phone her (Maddy) on 021 123 3505 if you're interested. :-)

Today, 10 May at 7.30pm: St Albans Residents Association at  Abberley Park Hall, Abberley Crescent, St Albans.

Special Guest:  Jarrod Coburn from the Draco Foundation will be discussing the foundation’s project to assist Canterbury residents’ associations to play an active role in rebuilding our communities.

Residents’ associations are well-placed to be at the centre of community development work but – in many cases – are either under-resourced or do not have the requisite skills to take on board such a mammoth task.

Help is at hand!  The Draco Foundation has launched a project to assist Canterbury residents’ associations to play an active role in rebuilding their communities.
