Since there are members all around NZ on this group, could people looking for guns please include the city in the comment?  Save us all wasting our time.  Thanks.

Hello Hired Guns...

There are five new VSA roles just listed on www.dogoodjobs.co.nz for anyone who wants to have a time of their life, get their travel and living expenses paid (and a small stipend) and get to do good!  I am currently volunteering in India and it's an amazing life experience!

There is something for (nearly) everyone - HR Advisor, Financial Advisor, Urban Planning Advisor, Marketing Advisor, & Disability Programme Manager.

Check 'em out - www.dogoodjobs.co.nz

Hello!

I have just launched a new NZ based website called "Do Good Jobs"- jobs with purpose, connecting passionate, talented, "do-gooders" with organisations to create social and environmental change. As "Guns for hire" you can also put up your resume for people to find you. I would love any feedback you might have on this site, to make it even better in the future... it might take a while to make it perfect - since I am doing this in my spare time for love, not money -  but would welcome your suggestions or support in promoting it! :)

The profits from the website will go to the Global Focus fund (formerly Global Focus Aotearoa) to support innovative education projects on global issues.

Hopefully you can join us online (www.dogoodjobs.co.nz) or on facebook www.facebook.com/dogoodjobs to find, or list, a good job, or to share with friends - because, if you are like me you probably know a few people who are looking for jobs with purpose...

Cheers,

Julia

Calling all Wellington freelancers and creatives - I'm helping to set up a co-working space / collaboration hub at the Powa Centre (currently a well-being and yoga space) in Marion Street. Members of the space include Marianne Elliot, Tink Stephenson, myself and other Intersect members. The space will be available from 9-4:30pm each day. If you're interested in being part of this space please contact me.

We're also looking for someone to help us design and build modular tables for the space. If you've got any skills in that area let me know!

Hello peeps, I'm a recent arrival from the UK. The arrival of my baby daughteer meant my wife wanted to be closer to her family in Auckland. I've recently finished a PhD in ecotoxicology and I'm looking to gain any experience in environmental consulting, resource management, environmental monitoring, basically anything I can apply my skills and expertise to! Happy to work part time/hourly or even pro bono if the project offers the right experience in return.
Cheers,
Chris

Hi all, just a quick post to let everyone know about a new freelancing and outsourcing marketplace built especially for New Zealand - HiredGuns - www.hiredguns.co.nz

The name similarity with this Intersect group is entirely co-incidental, and hopefully it is a great resource for all members of this group in their hunt to find great projects to work on!

It's completely free to sign up, and you can create a profile showcasing yourself and your skills, link to other online profiles you have, and include video and a portfolio. Using HiredGuns is paid for using credits, and we give you enough to get started when you sign up for your free account.

So check it out now, www.hiredguns.co.nz, and if anyone has any questions, feedback or comments, then I'd love to hear from you - stevef@webindustries.co.nz
