Anyone keen to spark a Free Monday Day in NZ next  week?

See http://www.freemoneyday.org/

A friend in Melbourne is kickstarting this and it would be great to see some Kiwis joining the fun...

Worldwide Park(ing) Day is coming up next month - on Friday September 16th (or possibly Saturday the 17th in New Zealand). Two years ago a group of us collaborated to bring this event to Aotearoa and we had a great time (see the organising group here). If anyone wants to get another event kickstarted for this day, now's the time!

Pardon me, but I can hear the sound of ice creaking.
Keep your Eyes Wide Open for some good action this Wednesday:

Just like a Freeze, with a cherry on top.

Hi Tricksters and Mischief Makers,

I’ve been talking with Sara Lovitz about organising a stunt for Amnesty International’s Freedom Week (first week of August). What comes to mind when you think of a flash mob style stunt celebrating and expressing FREEDOM? What crazy beautiful ideas do you have? Would love to h \ear from you.

I'm working on getting a recording of a 350 themesong! I certainly recon a choreographed dance-flashmob to this would be amazing. woooop!

I'm also amazed at how much the 'scary washing machine' has arrived in my mind via twitter, then email, and now facebook. Surely we can learn some tricks from this :)

thank you Maggie, for sending some very interesting links on pervasive games and etc. so now I'm totally distracted from my "purpose" of being in the office (writing an article) and playing games and taking collective action with ghosts :-) In my search I found this very recent PhD thesis which is quite relevant to this group http://www.palefirer.com/business_story_telling.pdf. May not be the easiest read but I guess the references section could be a mine to dig...

Thanks for that link Maggie! That Dancing Matt clip gets me every time :). And if we want to add a bit of 'purpose' to the 'play' all we need to do is add a simple catch-line like "Lets get moving". I'm also a fan of play without a purpose, but I reckon there's a real opportunity for linking these sorts of joy-full events with positive social acts.

I just watched the superflashmob at Antwerp Station in Belgium video below (thanks Maggie :) )
Are there any popular, well known showtunes, broadway songs with themes, lyrics along the lines of the kaupapa of the freeze, 'time to wake up', stopping to think, 'turning around', 'getting under control', 'stop messing me around', 'time to get together', 350, or courage?
(or lyrics that can be subverted) for large public performances?
