Community groups and residents have joined forces and have arranged a collective coastal cleanup on the south coast for Saturday 25
September. The event is part of the National Cleanup week and the International Coastal Cleanup Day.The theme this year is “Trash Travels: From Our Hands to the Sea”. Watch the movie clip on: http://www.oceanconservancy.org/
We are inviting everyone to come along to help cleanup the
coast from the trash to prevent it from traveling into the sea. There
are 12 locations along the coast from Breaker Bay to Owhiro Bay that
each cleanup an area. Join in and support a local group in your area.
Meet at 11am at one of the meeting places. Gloves and rubbish bags
will be provided or bring your own.
