Collaboration Cafe Wellington comes to Intersect's regular 1st Monday slot!
Collaboration Cafe aims to kickstart community action over an evening of conversation & warm company.
Come along and engage in meaningful conversation to help strengthen, connect, inspire and catalyse people's community projects & social enterprise ideas. There's also plenty of opportunity to network, and get involved in other people's projects if that's what you're looking for.
We believe everyone has wisdom - this is an evening where we can let it all out, foster collaboration, and kickstart awesome, inspiring & engaging projects to benefit Wellington, and who knows where else?

Comment by Elizabeth Parra Ganteaume on October 9, 2011 at 20:20 Dear all,
It was a great experience having you all involved in our project "Painted Hands". Thanks a lot for all your inputs, ideas, etc. As I promissed, here it is the outcome of last monday (for the immediate future):
I dediced to start with a trial in the Kindergarden where my daughter goes. Tomorrow I´ll have a conversation with the director of I-Kids. The pilot project goes like this:
Proposal:
Afterschool art session in I-Kids New Zealand (2 sessions/one purpose: create a Christmas present)
Session by donation: One part will be destined to cover the cost of the art materials
&
The other portion to buy art supplies for children in need from Venezuela
The same activity will be organized in a Venezuelan school with children of the same age as the ones in New Zealand but no donation will be required from the families since they live in poverty.
Who will deliver the sessions:
In NZ: Elizabeth Parra + 2 or 3 engaged mothers/fathers of I-kids.
In Venezuela: Teachers of the chosen school.
Dates:
What do you say?
I´m looking forward to start! Thank you again ;)
All the best to the rest of the projects!!!
Elizabeth
